Getting to Know Each Other

I am Kelechi Vera Ibe from Nigeria. I currently work as the Special Assistant in the office of the senior special adviser on research, documentation and strategy in the presidency overseeing policy documentation and program coordination. I had worked as Special Assistant on Social development to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, in-charge of poverty alleviation programs for vulnerable, disadvantaged groups and communities, providing a nurturing environment for development, protecting and promoting human rights of women, children and other vulnerable groups in the territory. I am the Executive Director of Social Transformation Empowerment and Programs Centre (STEP_C), a non-governmental organization focusing on building institutions and systems that help in the propagation, promotion and defense of Justice and human happiness especially of youth and women. I am excited doing this course as I hope it will enable me to appreciate more the intersection of human rights and conflict resolution, two areas that affect and are affected by human and community development.
