Hi everyone,
I am clearly late, but hopefully not too late... I have a MA degree in Islamic/Arabic Studies and Political Science and have been working for the past 10 years somewhat in this field. For the first 6 years of my job life, I was employed by NATO, as a Planning Officer at GIZ (for the Middle East, Afghanistan, Africa) and as a Rule of Law Expert for the EU's External Action Service in Iraq. The past four years I have been working as a consultant in the fields of peacebuilding and stabilization and on projects design, implementation and evaluation for major donors, MFAs and the UN. In one of my current assignments I am involved in a community security and justice project in Syria. One of my interests has been the foundations of Islamic law as well as today's application in Islamic countries and in post-conflict or conflict situations such as Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq. It is great to be in this course, meet you all and to learn more discuss about ADRs. I am looking forward!
Andre
