I have to admit that your view on deciding in which sides you are is so interesting, as I guess that your main point of the writing is bringing up the issue that I have been wondering during the course readings. Could you elaborate a sample case that international human rights definition doesn’t resonate with a local context? I could find a brief case of Sri Lanka from one of the readings that mentions “cultural barriers” when adherence to human rights norms to conflict resolution, but it didn’t have details either which made me so sorry. I could guess some possible cases and following reasons, but I would be grateful if you can help me telling your real experiences. Again, I thank you for your nice and interesting view. :)
