This course provides a comprehensive introduction to global politics and international relations with focus on historical evolution of the field with introduction to the major concepts, themes and theoretical frameworks and institutions. The course emphasizes on major concepts of international relations and international security and examines the evolution of international affairs in the 20th and 21st centuries. The course combines the study of concepts and theories with implications to the challenges of the current international system such as civil wars, terrorism, transnational organized crime, dysfunctional international systems including United Nations etc.  These and other central questions about the nature of global political relations are examined in this course.
